First Week of School (Life in Hell as we know it)

Okay so here's my first week in perspective....... Get home at 9:00 at night because you have been doing band or been at basketball all day. Then do homework until 12:00 at night then wake up at 5:00 to go to early morning seminary. Ya I have gone from complete slacker to midnight stresser. Oh boy everything that you could possibly imagine is to the ten hundredth here. I wonder if anybody does anything here half way? I am thinking that I am going to have to drop either my AP classes or Band if I want to be able to actually survive. Oh well Jr. year they say is the hardest.

I think that you can say that I have been officially cultured here. Asians, Blacks, Indians (Asian Indians not Native Americans), and Mexicans are all here in full power. The Asians are just amazingly freakishly smart and so are the Indians. The Blacks will cut you if you piss them off but they are a lot cooler than the whites let me tell you. They are just fun to be around. The Mexicans don't really mingle with anybody else and stay in their own group. Whites are just pretty much everywhere. We are a filler group filling in the holes. Ya I have been cultured.

Okay so College Football freaken started this week!!!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!! Wow if it wasn't for College Football I may have killed myself this week. Utah beat Michigan which was freaking amazing.!!!! BYU did win which makes me happy. (What Connor is happy that BYU won???) Yes I am because when Utah beats BYU it makes them look that much better! :) I also did go the Texas A&M game which I have season tickets to. That was just simply amazing. Never before have I seen such a stadium so loud and so much school spirit. Okay so toss out everything you know about wimpy ball (BYU football) also about college football. A Texas A&M game was beyond that. During their fight song the whole stadium puts their arms around the people they are sitting next to and sway and sing their fight song. Doesn't matter if you don't know them everybody does it. They lost played crappy were just simply horrible but it didn't matter. Everybody was just so loud. Maybe it is because their stadium can hold 84,000. Just as a reference point Rice Eccles can hold about 45,000. It is just simply a religion down here. I won't even talk about high school football. Who has a jumbo tron at a high school field?? It is exactly like the T.V. show Friday Night Lights.

This is Kyle Field Texas A&M's field. They have a Jumbo Tron as bigger than my house.

Well I am getting accustom to Texas and how people are. I love Texas accents and think they are sooo funny. As for the picture of my date? Well I will post up my homecoming pictures guys don't worry. That's all thanks for reading.

Sweet Sixteen

My birthday was pretty awesome let me tell you that. I woke up Wednesday morning to a bunch of balloons on my bed that my family had put there the night before. I got to sleep in very late which was totally awesome. I woke up got ready for the day and went to go open presents. Let me tell you what I got. I didn't get very much just um a little something called....... A PLANE TICKET BACK TO UTAH!!!!!!!!! I am coming in March and going to be going to MORP with Brandy Karl. I am so excited to see you all again. We are all going to hang out and it will be so totally super special awesome!!!! After I opened my presents, Nate (my new friend and super cool dude) came and picked me up we went and saw the new Star Wars Movie. It was pretty good. Then we went to the mall and I bought some new clothes. I am never going shopping again with my mom. Shopping with a guy was so much nicer, I just held it up he said it looked good and we bought it. No problem!!! Took us fifteen minutes to do what would have taken me and my parents a hour and a half. Now that really sounded like a man date but I swear it wasn't. I then came home went to scouts which was a swim party and they threw me into the pool because of my b day. It was a pretty cool b day but I am not nearly done. The next day after Nate and me came home from Band there was a little surprise. When he dropped me off he stepped out of the car and said he had to get something from my mom. I was like okay and we walked up to my door. When I walked in all the youth in the 1st and 2nd ward were sitting in my living room and started to sing happy b day to me!!! My parents planned the whole thing!!!! They went and invited everybody. It was so awesome!!!! We then played games and watched I am Legend it was very fun. I don't know though if I will be able to get my licence and what they will say i have to do. Hopefully it will all work out. Well my birthday was just missing one thing and that was you guys. I really miss you all a ton!!! I hope you are thinking of me. Miss you all!!!

Oh and by the way I got a date to Homecoming!!! :)

The Good the Bad and the Ugly

Instead of writing a big long paragraph I thought that I would mix it up a little bit and tell you the 5 best, the 5 worst, and the 5 most ugly things is Texas.

THE GOOD
1.The Church
It is really strong down here and everybody is really nice. Plus I don't have anal leaders!!!! (If my old leaders are reading this "I love you guys!!!")
2.The Girls
Who wears short shorts? Every girl in Texas wears short shorts. The big part though is that they actually can. :)
3.The Food
Can you say BBQ? It is a mouthwatering delight!!!!
4.Friends
All the Mormon people down here are really close and it is just awesome!!!
5.Gas/Taxes
Gas is cheaper here and we have no Grocery Tax!!

THE BAD
1.The Nonmembers
It is the weirdest thing ever to go to something and realize that you are the only Mormon there and that the rest are not Mormon.
2.The Girls
Because they aren't Mormon a lot of them dress not the best and they aren't looking for the same thing that I am which is just dating. Not this drama boyfriend stuff.
3.School
Think of my school as a concentration camp times twelve. We can't leave I will have about two hours of homework every day. It is not fun.
4.Band
I have to put so much time into this. I have early morning rehearsals every Monday, Thursday, and Friday before school and Wednesday and Tuesday after, every single week.
5.It's not Utah
This just doesn't feel like home yet and I don't ever think it will. I miss ya'll so much!!!

THE UGLY
1.No Mountains
It is so weird to look out and not see any mountains!!!
2.Streets
I like to know where I am by looking at a street and seeing 1200 south not Raybourn road! I don't know how I am going to get around here. I am going to get so lost.
3.Heat
I have said it a million times before and I will say it again. IT IS SOOOO HOT HERE!!!!
4.The Language
Man I thought that I had heard it all at Viewmont.... Man was I wrong!!!
5.The Ladies
They are pretty here but none of them are like my Utah girls!! Shout out to all my girls!!!

Oh by the way I got a four on my a.p. Test!!! Took me forever to get it because of me moving!!!!! I guess that twenty I slipped into my test booklet did me good. :)
